Good Things Should Have a Story
Uncle Sam’s Attic celebrates useful American-made goods, the people who make them, and the stories that make them worth keeping.
Two Brothers, One Shared Idea
Uncle Sam’s Attic began with brothers John and Geoffrey Rogers and a shared belief that useful things should be made to last.
They remembered a time when tools, household goods, outdoor equipment, and everyday necessities were bought with the expectation that they would work, wear in, and perhaps even be handed down. The maker’s name meant something. Materials mattered. A product carried evidence of the people and places that made it.
Those goods have not disappeared, but they have become harder to find. Uncle Sam’s Attic was created to bring them back into view.
What You’ll Find Here
Uncle Sam’s Attic is part shop, part story collection, and part tribute to the kind of American craftsmanship that still deserves to be noticed.
American Makers
We highlight the companies, workshops, and family businesses behind the goods — brands shaped by craftsmanship, grit, ingenuity, and a refusal to cut corners.
Useful Goods
We look for products made in the United States that are practical, well-made, durable, and worthy of everyday use — the kind of things people once expected to keep.
Stories Worth Keeping
We tell the stories behind the products: how companies began, how people use what they own, and why certain objects still carry memory, meaning, and a sense of home.
